The “Groupement des Exportateurs de Litchi” (GEL) or Malagasy Lychee Exporters Group was founded in 2001. Comprising currentlyabout forty members, (see sections Our Members), the GEL operates in 9 producing areas of Madagascar::
- in the region of Toamasina: Fénérive, Toamasina Brickaville, Vatomandry
- In the region of Manakara: Mananjary, Manakara, Farafangana, Vohipeno
- and in the region of Taolagnaro
